Raunaq-e-Ramzan(Jama Masjid)

 
There are five core beliefs and practices of Islam, out of these five pillars Sawm (Fasting during the Ramzan) is one of the most important practices which done during the ninth month of Islamic Calendar (Ramzan). Ramzan is the most valuable month for Islamic devotees of Ramzan month is celebrated as a festival of Eid -Ul- Fitr. Ramzan month is the month of fasting and prayer. This the most holy month of Islamic Calendar also known as Ramadan. The beauty and celebration of this festival is seen at India's largest mosque Jama Masjid Every year. The rituals of this festival include prayer, fasting, iftar with traditional foods, visits with friends and families to the mosque and the celebration of huge party   at Masjid. 
This is considered to be most pious month by followers of Islam. As per the religious beliefs, the holy book of the Muslims came down from the Allah during this month so this month is considered to be a blessing holy month.  They also believe this month to a new beginning of their life where they forget the bad past and difficulties of their life. This is   one month long fast. During this month peoples from the community use to visit the Masjid, they offer prayer here and recite the Quran. Everyday all adult Muslims keep this fast which called Roza and during the Roza time they abstain themselves from eating or drinking anything between dawn and sunset.  The Roza keeper breaks the fast by the visuals sighting of the moon. Breaking of fast or Roza is celebrated as "Iftar".
